It’s that time of year again — the Battleforce Season is upon us, and Games Workshop has unveiled a broad and ambitious lineup of holiday boxes for both Warhammer 40,000 and Age of Sigmar. Each set delivers the traditional mix of incredible value, faction identity, and plastic glory, giving collectors and newcomers alike the perfect excuse to start something new (or double down on an existing army).
For those new to the season, Battleforces are limited-run holiday bundles designed to offer a steep discount compared to individual kits. They’re some of the best-value boxes Games Workshop releases all year — but they also vanish quickly, and allocations can be tight.
Let’s break down what’s coming, and what stands out this year.
Warhammer 40,000 Battleforces
Battleforce: Krieg Siege Platoon

The grim resilience of the Death Korps of Krieg takes center stage this season with one of the strongest Astra Militarum bundles we’ve seen to date. The set includes:
-
Lord Commissar
-
5-man Command Squad
-
5 Combat Engineers
-
20 Death Korps infantry (two squads of 10)
-
2 Artillery Teams with interchangeable heavy weapons
The inclusion of both Engineers and Artillery Teams gives this box impressive tactical flexibility. For players looking to build a narrative siege army or expand their existing Guard collection, it’s a perfect blend of bodies and firepower — and the 803-decal transfer sheet is a nice touch for those obsessed with authentic markings.
Battleforce: Hellforged Warband

The Chaos Space Marines bring a heavy-metal lineup with this set, led by a Lord Discordant and backed by:
-
Venomcrawler
-
2 Obliterators
-
5 Havocs
-
10 Legionaries
-
1 Rhino
This is a devastating force right out of the box, both thematically and on the table. The Lord Discordant remains one of the most striking Chaos sculpts ever made, and paired with Obliterators and Havocs, this army screams “firepower and corruption.” For hobbyists, it’s also a well-balanced paint project, full of textures and details.
Battleforce: Blissbound Warband

Fulgrim himself has arrived — the centerpiece model that defines this year’s Chaos lineup. This box includes:
-
Fulgrim Transfigured
-
6 Noise Marines
-
6 Flawless Blades
-
Emperor’s Children transfer sheet
The inclusion of Fulgrim in a Battleforce is a huge move; this isn’t just a bundle, it’s a limited way to secure a major centerpiece. This will almost certainly be one of the most sought-after boxes in the entire range. Thematically cohesive, beautiful, and brutal — if you collect Emperor’s Children, don’t wait.
Battleforce: Cthonian Prospect

Representing the Leagues of Votann, the Cthonian Prospect is a compact but dense bundle:
-
Brôkhyr Iron-Master
-
3 Brôkhyr Thunderkyn
-
10 Cthonian Beserks
-
Kapricus Defender (or Carrier)
-
2 Cthonian Earthshakers
-
2 Votann transfer sheets (555 transfers each)
This box is a balance of tech and muscle — ideal for players who enjoy the dual nature of Votann engineering and brawling. The inclusion of drones and multi-build vehicles gives hobbyists plenty of customization.
Battleforce: Iron Halo Strike Force

The Space Marines never fail to headline a Battleforce wave, and this year’s set is exceptional for veterans and new players alike. It features:
-
Captain and Company Heroes
-
Lieutenant
-
Ballistus Dreadnought
-
Redemptor Dreadnought
-
5 Sternguard Veterans
-
5 Hellblasters
-
Brand new sprue of 51 Space Marine heads
Two Dreadnoughts in one box is a serious statement. Combined with ranged units like Hellblasters and Sternguard, this makes a well-rounded force for any chapter. It’s also a painter’s dream, with a huge amount of detail and options.
Battleforce: Farsight Cadre

The T’au Empire returns with one of the cleanest and most cohesive Battleforces this year:
-
Commander Farsight
-
Broadside Battlesuit
-
3 Crisis Battlesuits
-
Riptide Battlesuit
-
Drones
-
Infantry transfer sheet
This is effectively an elite strike cadre — sleek, thematic, and loaded with classic T’au design. A perfect choice for players who prefer precision and efficiency to raw numbers.
Battleforce: Crusher Stampede

If you like your armies big, mean, and dripping bio-acid, this is your box. The Tyranid set features:
-
Neurotyrant and Neuroloids
-
Screamer-Killer
-
Tyrannofex/Tervigon
-
Haruspex/Exocrine
-
Maleceptor/Toxicrene
This is one of the most model-dense boxes this year in terms of size. Every kit here is a major monster, and collectively they make an intimidating force that pairs beautifully with the new codex.
Warhammer: Age of Sigmar Battleforces
Battleforce: Dankhold Rampage

The Gloomspite Gitz are back and bigger than ever. Led by Trugg, the Troggoth King, this box includes:
-
1 Dankhold Troggoth or Troggboss
-
3 Fellwater Troggoths
-
6 Rockgut Troggoths
This is a brilliant monster-mash starter. Trugg alone is a spectacular centerpiece, and this is one of the most visually impressive AoS bundles in years.
Battleforce: Skryre Warpswarm

Skaven fans rejoice — the Clans Skryre have returned with a proper arsenal. The box packs:
-
Arch-Warlock
-
5 Acolyte Globadiers
-
3 Warplock Jezzails
-
3 Warpspark Weapon Batteries
-
Ratling Warpblaster
-
20 Stormvermin
This is an incredible box for both narrative and gameplay. It’s the perfect balance of mad science and expendable muscle. Expect this one to disappear fast — Skaven collectors have been waiting years for this kind of refresh.
Battleforce: Lances of the Crimson Keep

Vampiric cavalry lovers, this one’s for you. Inside:
-
Prince Vhordrai (or Revenant Draconith build)
-
10 Blood Knights
-
3 Fell Bats
A compact but elite cavalry force, perfect for fast assaults and heroic centerpiece play. Beautiful sculpts and an easy painting scheme make this one a standout for collectors.
Battleforce: Outcast Spitegrove

The Sylvaneth return with their most iconic leader:
-
Drycha Hamadreth
-
20 Dryads
-
15 Spite-Revenants (or Tree-Revenants)
-
Treelord (or Spirit of Durthu)
This box is a painter’s playground. Organic textures, dynamic poses, and a perfect mix of old and new kits make this an artistic favorite.
Special Edition Release – Steel Tread

Steel Tread by Andy Clark also returns this week in a Special Edition format. This version features a cloth cover with printed Leman Russ details, foil page edges, and a ribbon marker — the definitive collector’s version of one of the best Astra Militarum novels to date.
However, keep in mind: Special Edition Black Library releases are not available through third-party retailers. These are Games Workshop exclusives, so if you’re after this edition, you’ll need to grab it directly from them while supplies last.
Allocation and Availability Warning
Every year, these Battleforces generate massive demand — and with demand comes allocation.
If past years are any indication, many of these boxes will not fully fulfill retailer orders, and quantities could be cut down at distribution.
We expect allocation across multiple boxes, particularly for the Krieg Siege Platoon, Iron Halo Strike Force, and Spiregrove, which are likely to be the first to sell through.
If allocation occurs, we’ll report it immediately on our social channels and via email so customers know what to expect before release weekend.
Until then, start planning your holiday haul — because once these hit, history tells us they won’t last long.
