Due to recent Shopify changes, PayPal, Apple Pay, Google Pay, etc., no longer appear as payment options when customers are logged in and using Shop Pay. This is not a bug on our end.
Workaround:
To use PayPal or any of those services, click “Check out as guest” in the upper-left corner of the checkout page where you enter payment info. PayPal will then appear as a payment option.
Status:
We’re working with Shopify to restore PayPal, Amazon, Google, and Apple Pay quick-buy options. So far, they’re unwilling to change this setup, as they want users to go through their Shop Pay flow.
Recommendation:
Use Shop Pay if possible. It’s faster and integrates better with our backend, but we understand some customers prefer PayPal or other traditional methods.
