Follow the doomed path of the 27th Halgarth Brine Dogs in this Warhammer 40,000 novel by Peter Fehervari, a dark Astra Militarum story about exhausted soldiers, desertion, and the horrors waiting beneath the surface of a frozen world.
The Brine Dogs are not celebrated heroes of the Imperium. Worn down by months of service on the bleak planet of Oblazt, they fight because they must, not because they are filled with faith or glory. Morale is low, discipline is strained, and few welcome the news that their next deployment will take them to an even deadlier war zone.
When three veterans and an enigmatic enginseer discover that the regiment is bound for a death world, they decide to defy their orders and escape. Their choice sets off a chain of events far more terrible than they could have imagined, drawing them into the darkness hidden within Oblazt itself.
As guilt, betrayal, and fear take hold, the frozen world reveals a sinister legacy where wickedness lingers and the dead refuse to stay silent.
Perfect for fans of the Astra Militarum, Imperial Guard, Warhammer 40,000 horror, Peter Fehervari, and stories focused on ordinary soldiers pushed beyond their limits.
