Follow Ferren Areios, Captain of the Ultramarines Sixth Company, into a brutal war of reclamation in this Warhammer 40,000 novel by Rob Young. Tasked with retaking the Khorsari Reach from the Death Guard, Areios must lead his warriors through a grinding campaign where honor, duty, and survival are all tested to their limits.

First introduced in the Dawn of Fire series, Ferren Areios has risen to become Master of Rites and Captain of the Ultramarines Sixth Company. His latest campaign takes him far from glory, into a war defined by attrition, corruption, and staggering loss.

The worlds of the Khorsari Reach have been cut off from the Imperium for more than a decade, isolated by warp storms along the Great Rift. In that time, they have fallen into the hands of the Death Guard, whose Plague Marines have turned once-loyal worlds into domains of decay and death.

Now Areios leads a reclamation fleet into the Reach to purge the servants of Nurgle and restore the worlds of Ultramar. As casualties mount and the campaign descends into a war of exhaustion, he must confront not only the Death Guard, but the strain placed upon the ideals that define him as an Ultramarine.

Perfect for fans of the Ultramarines, Death Guard, Ferren Areios, Dawn of Fire, Nurgle, and hard-fought Warhammer 40,000 military fiction.
