Shield-Captain Valerian is a Custodian of the Hykanatoi brotherhood, clad in gleaming auramite and armed with the guardian spear Gnosis. Headstrong but immensely skilled, Valerian seeks to bring the wrath of the Adeptus Custodes beyond the walls of the Imperial Palace and into the wars that threaten the Imperium. He also bears the Wreath of Guilliman, a mark of honor granted for his service.

At his side stands Knight-Centura Aleya, a fierce veteran of the Sisters of Silence. Tasked with hunting witches, psykers, and other psychic abominations, Aleya is a deadly warrior whose presence unnerves even the most dangerous foes. She carries the relic blade Somnus, named in honor of the first temple of the Sisterhood on Luna.
