Flush-Fit Base Magnets for Warhammer 40K, Age of Sigmar & The Old World

The magnet the hobby community actually recommends. Our flush-fit base magnets are precision-sized at 2.2mm and 2.6mm heights to sit perfectly flush inside standard Games Workshop beveled bases — no putty, no shimming, no wobble. Every other generic magnet on the market is either too tall (sticks out, won't sit flat) or too short (weak hold, rattles).

These are N52-grade neodymium — the strongest permanent magnet grade commercially available. One magnet per infantry model gives a firm hold on magnetic trays, metal-lined cases, and movement trays. Heavier models may use two.

Warhammer 40K & Age of Sigmar size guide:

• 25mm/28mm bases → Medium (4.5mm × 2.2mm)
• 32mm–100mm round, 60mm–120mm oval → Thick (4.5mm or 6mm × 2.6mm). Mediums are better for delicate models, Large Thicks for heavier and sturdier models.
• 130mm, 160mm round & 170mm oval → Large Thin (6mm × 2mm). Use 2–4 magnets depending on model weight.

Warhammer: The Old World size guide:

Important: The Old World sizing is inverted from 40K. 25mm Old World bases use Medium Thick (4.5mm × 2.6mm) — the thicker magnet. Cavalry and monster bases use Medium (4.5mm × 2.2mm) with 2 magnets recommended for cavalry and 3 magnets for monsters.

Compatibility note: These magnets are designed for standard GW beveled bases. Some decorative or textured bases from Games Workshop have non-standard internal depths and may not sit flush. For those bases, as well as flat-bottomed third-party resin bases and clear skimmer bases, use our self-adhesive flexible magnets instead.

Q: Do flush-fit magnets work in all Games Workshop bases?

A: They're designed for standard GW beveled bases from 25mm to 170mm and will sit flush in those. However, some decorative or textured bases from Games Workshop have non-standard internal depths and may not sit flush — our self-adhesive flexible magnets are a better fit for those. For 40K and AoS, the 2.2mm variant fits 25mm and 28mm bases, and the 2.6mm thick variant is for 32mm through 100mm. For The Old World, the sizing is inverted — 25mm bases use the thick 2.6mm magnets.
