The Maw Beckons - A Review
The Ogor Mawtribes are charging back into the Mortal Realms with a completely refreshed force, while Legions Imperialis players are getting several devastating new weapon options for their Titans.
Both the Ogor Mawtribes Army Set and the new Legions Imperialis Titan kits will go up for pre-order this weekend at the After Dark, opening at Midnight EST 07/18/26.
Warhammer Age of Sigmar – Ogor Mawtribes Army Set

The Ogor Mawtribes are finally receiving a substantial refresh, and this new Army Set looks like an excellent way to begin a force or rebuild an existing collection around the latest miniatures.
The box contains a Tyrant, two Maulbeast Cavalry, three Ironguts, and 10 Gluttons, giving players a compact but appropriately hard-hitting army. The Maulbeast Cavalry should add some welcome speed and visual variety, while the new Gluttons and Ironguts bring the core of the Mawtribes range up to modern standards.
Alongside the miniatures, the set includes Battletome: Ogor Mawtribes with an exclusive cover and a complete set of 52 warscroll cards. Having the battletome, cards, and a playable collection of new models together makes this one of the most complete Age of Sigmar army launches we have seen in some time.
Unfortunately, this Army Set is a Games Workshop direct-only release and will not be available through third-party retailers such as Wargame Portal.
Legions Imperialis – New Titans
The Titans of Legions Imperialis are receiving several intimidating new weapon configurations, giving players more ways to equip their god-engines for different battlefield roles.
A Warlord Titan with Quake Cannon and Conversion Beam Extirpator

A Warlord Titan with Volkite Destructor and Macro-gatling Blaster

A Reaver Titan with Graviton Obliterator and Volkite Annihilator
Each combination offers a different approach to overwhelming firepower, from massive area destruction to sustained volleys capable of tearing through heavily protected targets.
Middle-earth Strategy Battle Game Made to Order Miniatures
A selection of classic Middle-earth Strategy Battle Game miniatures is returning through Made to Order, with the focus placed firmly on the armies of Isengard and Rohan.

Two separate Uruk-Hai Commanders sets provide Captains and Warriors with Banners, while the returning Battering Ram gives Isengard players a suitably brutal siege piece. The set of 12 Uruk-Hai Scouts is another particularly thematic release, recreating the force sent to hunt the Fellowship around Amon Hen.

Rohan players are not completely left behind, with two returning Commanders ready to rally their warriors against the advancing armies of Saruman.
Made to Order releases are usually most appealing to collectors, longtime players completing older armies, and hobbyists looking for miniatures that have been unavailable for years. Anyone interested should remember that these models will only be orderable during the Made to Order window. Please note: Made to order items are not available at third party retailers and must be purchased directly.
Black Library – Mephiston: The Box Set Limited Edition

The Blood Angels’ Chief Librarian receives a suitably dramatic Limited Edition collection containing Blood of Sanguinius, Revenant Crusade, and City of Light by Darius Hinks.
Each novel features a matching red-and-black cover and is presented inside a coordinated slipcase. It is a striking collection for Blood Angels fans, particularly those who want to experience Mephiston’s story in a premium format.
As with most Black Library Limited Editions, this set will be available only while stocks last and is expected to sell quickly. It will be purchased directly through Games Workshop and will not be available from third-party retailers. Please note: This limited edition bookset will not be available via third party retailers and must be purchased direct from Games Workshop.
Final Thoughts
The Ogor Mawtribes Army Set is the clear centerpiece of this release cycle. The combination of a new Tyrant, Maulbeast Cavalry, redesigned infantry, an exclusive battletome, and 52 warscroll cards makes it a substantial relaunch rather than a simple collection of existing kits.
The new Legions Imperialis Titan releases are also a welcome expansion, particularly because the weapon options will be available both with complete Titans and as separate upgrade sets (direct only). That gives new and existing players more flexibility when building their forces.
