The galaxy trembles once more, and this time it’s not the Chaos Knights striding onto the battlefield. Finally, the noble Imperial Knights are here with a full codex and new rules for Warhammer 40,000. After a long wait (no telling what the hold up was) of letting their twisted kin have the spotlight, the loyal households have answered the call of the Emperor, bringing with them towering war machines, storied pilots, and an unmistakable sense of grandeur.

Codex: Imperial Knights is the centerpiece of this week’s releases. This 112-page tome comes packed with datasheets, lore, and four detachments to give your Knights the flexibility they deserve. Most importantly, it introduces the long-anticipated Chivalric Quest rules for Crusade, letting players fully embody the knightly oathbound playstyle in their campaigns. For collectors, the limited edition offers a premium finish with dark blue foil edges and striking cover art.

On the tabletop, two kits stand out. The Knight Questoris kit offers all the classics—Paladin, Crusader, Warden, Errant, Gallant—plus the Chaos Despoiler if you lean traitor. But the big news is the Knight Defender, with its conversion beam obliterator, plasma executor, and phosphor blaster. Meanwhile, the Knight Preceptor / Canis Rex set keeps the legends alive, giving players the option to field Sir Hekhtur in all his Freeblade glory. Both kits include transfer sheets loaded with over 300 decals, perfect for personalizing your household heraldry.

For those who love a little extra flair, the Imperial Knight datasheet cards and House Hawkshroud dice round out the release, keeping your lance organized and looking sharp.

The Knights aren’t alone in the spotlight. Space Marine players also see major reinforcements this week, with new releases for both the Raven Guard and the Imperial Fists. Aethon Shaan steps forward as the Raven Guard’s master of shadows,

The Imperial Fists welcome the indomitable Darnath Lysander. Each Chapter receives its own Combat Patrol box, giving newcomers and veterans alike fresh entry points into their forces.

Chaos players aren’t ignored either—Thousand Sons Sekhetar Robots...

...bring arcane firepower to the table, while the Grey Knights’ new Nemesis Dreadknight options...

...expand their arsenal with brutal melee and psychic-enhanced weaponry.

Beyond the battlefield, this wave of releases stretches into multiple systems: a Kill Team Beginner Set designed for new recruits, a Middle-earth cooperative board game centered around Thorin Oakenshield’s quest, the next issue of White Dwarf, and a return to classic heroics with Ciaphas Cain: The Anthology in paperback.

Final Thoughts

This is a massive release week across multiple game systems, but the real headline is undeniable: Imperial Knights are finally stomping into 40k with their own rules and expanded kits. Whether you’re here for the chivalric quests, the new Knight Defender build, or just the satisfaction of watching a Knight stride across the table, this is the long-awaited moment that Knight players have been waiting for.

The Emperor’s finest engines of war are here—and they’re ready to duel their corrupted cousins on equal footing at last.
